Uzbekistan will not host 2025 Asian Youth Games, citing unpreparedness of the venue

Olympic Council of Asia announced the cancellation of 2025 Asian Youth Games in Uzbekistan due to the unpreparedness of sports facilities. The event will now take place in Bahrain. Uzbekistan had been constructing the Olympic Village for the games for several years, with an estimated cost of $289 m.
